Thanks for your reply Linda E! It is easy to covert a jpg to a pdf on a Mac by opening a file in Preview. I’m not sure it is as easy on a PC unless you have installed a special App/software.

I do it by opening the jpg on my desktop, not in MM, and then ‘save as’ or ‘export to’....

the cornice needs to be drawn with either the close bezier tool or the polygon tool (they are both solid blue in color in the tool box) in order to fill with color or pattern or fabric. the straight line tool is just that: an outline...

I did think of that but you can see the lines at the bottom steps where the 2 layers overlap. Is there no way to fill a custom made shape, even with just color?

Hi Mary,

If I understand your post correctly, here’s what you could try. Try duplicating the cornice and putting it underneath the original cornice and then you can add color/fabric. You might need to shrink the bottom cornice a little.
