Our September webinar focused on the Studio Apartment..... that's Studio as in small, not Studio the design software! We showcased many beautiful photos of apartments all over the world and demonstrated how to design on a photo, dressing up a small studio by adding accessories, window treatments, and lighting.

A week ago, Merlyn and her husband Bourke moved from Cohasset, MA to San Francisco, CA and during the move Merlyn sustained a severe knee injury. Recently, I have had a couple of people request the photos of my office. I decided to post them here to share with everyone. Years ago we spent a couple of days contemplating the best way to lay out one of our offices to maximize the space. We have 9' ceilings which is great but this room is incredibly small. Each Studio image has a feature called Protection. Found under Properties, this can be used to protect the image from selection, moving, filling, and the other commands shown below:

If you use a lot of imported images and erase the background using the Photo Knockout tool, you may find that the photo makes it difficult to access the images behind it. This also happens with large text boxes which are transparent. To fix this, right click on the photo and use the protection feature
